The Memento Blanket Part 4 - Pansies

After all the rain in April, my pots are doing rather well. I’m not very good at keeping plants alive, so I’m quite pleased with myself. I have decided to immortalise my little pansies in crochet for this month’s Memento block.

I picked out some interesting blues from my scraps basket to make the pot. I used up the very last bit of some Sirdar Crofter in a long discontinued shade. It was one of the very first yarns I bought back in 2013, when I first learned to crochet.

To create the Pansy effect in the flowers I used Rico Creative Melange, but you could easily recreate this effect by changing colours between rows.

This moth’s pattern is here, free as always.

Here are our squares so far. I’m really enjoying seeing how this is evolving. The colours are really cheerful.
